WHAT IS PAC?

The Parents Advisory Council of Ray Watkins Elementary School is an organization who’s purpose is to "support and promote the involvement of parents in the education of their children."

By working together with school administration and the School Planning Council, PAC strives to:

•  advise parents about school programs and services;

•  involve parents in school activities;

•  make recommendations to the Principal on school programs and services;

• organize, in conjunction with the Principal, volunteer programs and activities which support the school;

•  work with the Principal, staff, parents and community organization to provide a healthy, safe and supportive environment;

• assist parents in providing educational opportunities for their children;

• provide a forum for the discussion of educational programs and services; and

• promote a spirit of tolerance and co-operation within the school community.

WHO CAN BE A MEMBER?

If you are the parent or guardian of a student of RWES, you are already a member; all you need to do to get involved is to come to a meeting.
