The school has approximately 70 students attending kindergarten through grade 12, located in a rural village on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Students from the Village of Zeballos, Ehattesaht First Nation and Nuchatlaht First Nation attend the school.
A teaching staff of 7.0 FTE results in a lower teacher/pupil ratio in multi-grade classrooms. Our student body is predominantly of First Nation ancestry. Parents of our students are committed to their children's education and support the school and school programs.
Zeballos Elementary Secondary School is equipped with high-speed internet and has access to distributed learning, enabling students to register for all courses required for graduation, college and university.
Located on the west coast of Vancouver Island and rich in natural resources, Zeballos is nestled in the bottom of a river valley at the head of an inlet, with immediate access to kayaking, hunting, boating, fishing, camping, hiking and caving.
Zeballos is a small community with a population of about 250 people. The Nuu-chah-nulth are the First Nations people of this area.Zeballos is a 2 1/2 hour drive north of Campbell River, BC
